Cook at Cotswold Chine School

Duties include preparing and cooking meals from fresh produce in a homely environment for a maximum of 13 people following a set menu for the lunch time meal, taking into account any special dietary needs, cleaning and beverage related duties.

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday – 9am to 2:30pm

39 weeks per annum (term time only)

Halfway Café Worker (3 roles)

Three vacancies exist supporting all aspects of the Halfway Café and work experience centre, duties to include:

Supporting and working with the work experience students/residents to ensure that they benefit from meaningful working arrangements;

Preparing a variety of foods and refreshments; Serving/clearing tables and washing up;

Maintaining a clean and hygienic working environment, internally and externally, assisting with deliveries and reporting any discrepancies.

Cleaner at Paradise House

Paradise House is a beautiful Residential Home (on the main bus route) set in the Painswick Valley, for adults with learning disabilities aged 18-65 who live within the four homes. The cleaner will be based in one of the houses providing a homely and caring environment for adults with learning disabilities. The successful candidate will have an active role in ensuring the house is kept clean and tidy whilst maintaining the homely environment and should be self motivated with the ability to work flexibly within the Domestic Team.

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday – 9am to 2:30pm

Full Time Care Worker for Paradise House

Paradise House is a beautiful Residential Home (on the main bus route), set in the Painswick Valley caring for adults with learning disabilities aged 18-65 who live within 4 house groups.

Every Care Worker works a two week fixed rota, which includes three overnight shifts one week and two the following week. There is an expectation that carers work every weekend, which is a Saturday on one week and a Sunday the following week. On average, care workers will have three days off per week (generally 2 weekdays and 1 day each weekend), in addition to some weekday mornings.

The post would suit those interested in developing a career in care whilst also acquiring and developing skills and experience. Staff are offered regular professional supervision and access to a comprehensive training programme including QCF3, and other training to help support the role.

Example of earnings (pre-QCF3): up to £2,000 average per month, depending upon number of shifts worked. Higher rates of pay apply with QCF3.

Cafe Supervisor

Assisting in running café

A permanent vacancy exists for a Supervisor, supporting all aspects of the Halfway House Café and work experience centre. Duties to include:-

Preparing food, drinks and cake baking; Assisting as needed with all operational aspects of running the café; Supporting and working with the work experience students; maintaining a clean and hygienic working environment; taking responsibility for the running of the café in the absence of Senior Supervisors.

The Halfway Café is part of Cotswold Chine School in Box, near Stroud. The school offers a caring environment that is both therapeutic and educational for young people who in some cases have experienced childhood trauma and adversity and who as a result have complex needs.

Hours of Work: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9am – 5pm

Alternate Saturday or Sunday 10:00am – 4:30pm (with some flexibility)

Cotswold Chine School, in Box, nr Stroud offers a unique, caring environment that is both therapeutic and educational for young people aged 7-19 who live within our house groups. The Trust supports young people who in some cases have experienced childhood trauma and adversity and who as a result have complex needs.
